This week’s ‘Around the Town’ takes us to Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta.
Founded as Atlanta Cemetery in 1850, Oakland Cemetery, which originally consisted of six acres, is one of the largest cemetery green spaces in Atlanta and is located Southeast of the city. The cemetery is an outdoor museum of Atlanta’s history with period gardens and architecture that draws thousands of visitors annually annually.
