BBB issues update on closure, bankruptcy of 12 formal wear stores

ATLANTA — The Better Business Bureau (BBB) is aware of the recent closures of locations by several formal wear retail stores, resulting in substantial implications for employees and customers. BBBs across the country received dozens of complaints regarding consumers who did not receive their orders after the locations closed.

As of Aug. 29, 2023, the company has failed to respond to complaints filed by consumers with BBB.

According to Savvi Formalwear, LLC’s website, the stores affected by this closure are the stores that were owned and operated by Tip Top Tux LLC (TTT, LLC), including Dapper & Dashing(MN), Nedrebo’s (WI), Al’s Formal Wear (TX, CO), American Commodore (OH), Dream Dress (IA), Anya Bridal (GA), Tip Top Tux (IA, KS, NE, SD) and ONLY the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores. TTT, LLC was the owner of the Atlanta Savvi Formalwear stores. All other Savvi Formalwear stores are independently owned and unaffiliated with TTT, LLC.

On Aug. 11, 2023, TTT and its affiliates filed Chapter 7 Bankruptcy in the Northern District of Georgia.

Those with monetary claims against the business are advised to obtain a Proof of Claim form by writing to:

United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia
75 Ted Turner Dr.
SW Atlanta, GA 30303

Case number 23-57716-jrs should be entered on the form.
